Beate Thalberg is a commissioning editor/script supervisor/developer and project manager for documentaries at ORF/3sat. She always looks for the best documentary – specialty in storytelling, state of the art in filming and framing, strong authentic characters to identify with. Her lively interest is Transmedia storytelling.
Beate is a member of EUROVISION Documentary Experts Group, she is regularly invited as expert to give workshops or talk on panels at documentary festivals such as IDFA, DocFest Sheffield, Hot Docs Toronto or for leading documentary Initiatives as Creative Europe MEDIA or European Documentary Network. She closely collaborates with documentary professionals all over the world.
Born in Germany in 1967, Beate Thalberg studied Stage Direction & Dramaturgy at the Academy of Theatre Arts Leipzig. She is a documentary director and script writer herself.
